Since 1919 the Plymouth Antiquarian Society has carried on the vision of our remarkable founders to tell all of Plymouth’s story. This year, despite challenges, we continued to explore the past, finding new ways to reach our members and history enthusiasts near and far. We hosted virtual Burial Hill tours and other online events, launched our Plymouth History Explorers program, and even brought our annual Pilgrim Breakfast to life in a new, virtual way!
We also worked on projects to ensure the preservation of our three historic houses and the invaluable collections they contain. Our recently completed landscaping project at the Hedge House gives this magnificent landmark the setting it deserves.
As we approach 2021, we look forward to the time when we can open to our fullest capacity, welcome guests into our historic sites without restriction, and host in-person events. Until then, we will remain flexible and look for opportunities to host virtual events and tours, always with the goal of telling Plymouth’s story, with the same commitment and dedication as our founders.
Please help us build a strong future for the Society by contributing as generously as you can to this year’s Annual Appeal. It is only through the support and generosity of our members and friends that we can continue to fulfill our mission to preserve local history and enrich lives through storytelling, community events, and educational experiences.
