Wampanoag Ancestors

Due to public health concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic, Plymouth 400’s Wampanoag Ancestors Walk scheduled for this date has been cancelled. Our virtual event is presented as an alternative.

Wampanoag educator Linda Coombs of Aquinnah gives a deep-time view of indigenous experience in Plymouth on ground that was originally the Native village of Patuxet. This free half-hour virtual tour of Burial Hill begins at 1 p.m. Visit Pilgrim Hall Museum’s Facebook page for the livestream. The recording will be available after the tour.

If you have any questions, please email director@plymouthantiquarian.org or call 508-746-0012.

Burial Hill: History in Progress is a free program presented by the Plymouth Antiquarian Society in collaboration with the Pilgrim Society & Pilgrim Hall Museum. This series of themed history expeditions on Burial Hill, one of America’s oldest and most significant burying grounds, is usually offered on the first Saturday of every month. In-person 2020 tours are suspended until further notice.

The Wampanoag Ancestors Walk has been rescheduled for May 2021. Click here to learn more about this Plymouth 400 Signature Event.
