This immersive tour runs about 45 minutes with tours beginning every 15 minutes from 7 pm to 8:15 pm. (You may select a 7, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, 8, or 8:15 arrival time). The event is two nights only, Thursday October 10, and Friday October 11.
Event Description: During the height of the Victorian spiritualist movement, Plymouth’s own Lizzie Doten became a national celebrity, reciting poetry to large audiences that she claimed was dictated to her from beyond the grave—by the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe!
Join us for this immersive experience at the historic Hedge House. Hear dramatic readings of Poe’s tales of mystery and the macabre. Perhaps even meet Lizzie Doten and attend to her stories of communing with the enigmatic Mr. Poe.
This program is not recommended for children under 13.
Tickets: Nonmembers: $15 per person; Plymouth Antiquarian Society members: $10 per person.
