6:45 pm – Speaker: Michele Gabrielson, historian, educator, historic interpreter and traditional letterpress printer, “In the Margins: Women Printers in the 18th Century.” In this 250th anniversary year of the Declaration of Independence, there has been renewed attention to the history of printing and the dissemination of information during the Revolutionary era. We are proud to welcome Michele Gabrielson, who is well known regionally for portraying Plymouth’s own Mercy Otis Warren. Michele’s presentation will explore the indispensable role played by wives, widows, and daughters who set type, printed newspapers and pamphlets, and in some cases operated their own presses during the years leading to the American Revolution.
Dinner Buffet includes:
