Letters by Candlelight: Voices of the Hedge Family at Home

Step inside the Hedge House for an intimate evening of history brought to life. “Letters by Candlelight” features dramatized readings of correspondence from the Hedge family. Several of these letters were written during the American Civil War and offer reflections on the events of that time. Guests will move through the historic house in a “candlelight” setting, to hear costumed interpreters portray members of the Hedge family, reading these letters aloud as they would have been heard in this very home, transforming written words into a shared experience.
