About the Series

The Burial Hill tour program was originally launched in 2011 by the Plymouth Antiquarian Society, in collaboration with Pilgrim Hall Museum. The two organizations began co-presenting the series in 2016. Tours are offered at the ancient burying ground at 1 pm on the first Saturday of each month from February through December. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, this year’s series, “Revolutionary Connections,” focuses on Plymouth’s role in America’s struggle for independence. Each tour delves into Revolutionary-era themes, uncovering South Shore connections to the fight for freedom. Led by local historians and authors, these engaging programs explore history, art, and culture atop Burial Hill, a unique open-air museum in the heart of downtown Plymouth.
