Virtual Pilgrim Breakfast

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, our annual in-person event has been cancelled.

For over 85 years the Antiquarian Society has served a hearty New England breakfast at the Harlow House each summer, bringing community members and out-of-town visitors together for fishcakes and baked beans. In 2020 we will miss the good cheer of friends and family gathered in this historic setting.

We invite you to experience some of the joy and fun of our Pilgrim Breakfast in a virtual program we will be debuting on Sunday, July 5th at 8:30 a.m.  The “menu” includes:

  • Behind-the-scenes look at baking brown bread with food historian Paula Marcoux (click here for recipe)
  • Introduction to a matchlock musket with New Plimmoth Gard
  • Tutorial on creating tussie mussies at home
  • Sing-along of our favorite 17th-century tunes
  • Weaving lesson with Harlow volunteer Leslie Lyman

Our online offerings will be served free of charge to all!

Or watch it on our YouTube channel at any time!

Make a Special Donation

If you were planning on attending the Pilgrim Breakfast this year, would you please consider donating the price of your tickets to support the Antiquarian Society’s mission of preserving and sharing local history?

Your tax-deductible donation would be a much-needed revenue influx as we face a summer without our major fundraisers. Any amount is appreciated – consider giving $10 (if you were planning to buy a ticket for yourself), $20 (if you were hoping to come with a spouse or friend), or $45 (if you usually bring your whole family).

You may also mail a check payable to Plymouth Antiquarian Society to P.O. Box 3773, Plymouth, MA 02361.
