About the Guest Speaker
Julie Burrey earned her master’s degree in historic preservation and has worked in that field for over twenty-five years. She has always loved old houses and was happy to spend her early career involved in the management of historic house museums. For thirteen years she was co-owner of a local preservation company, specializing in using historically appropriate materials and methodologies. For more than ten years she has served on the Historic District Commission of Plymouth. And for the last four years she has had the great pleasure of working at the Plymouth Public Library as archivist for the History Room and Archives. Julie is so proud to call Plymouth her home; she lives in Chiltonville with her preservation carpenter husband, Michael, three children, ten chickens and three black cats.
